  • Each calendar year the Canadian Polish Millennium Fund awards grants in May and October.  Grant applications may be found on the Millennium Fund’s website at www.millenniumfund.ca.  To be eligible for consideration, every application must be fully completed, signed and submitted according to the criteria.

Ogniwo Polish Museum Society is hosting an evening University of Manitoba academic course POL2660 History and Film: The Polish Case (3 credits Winter term January – April 2017)
In the aftermath of World War II, the Polish state attempted to erase a nation’s history and impose a communist ideology upon it. This course will study selected examples from Polish history, culture and film within this context. It will include the period of socialist realism, the cinema of moral concern, and the contemporary representations of Polish cultural identity. All lectures and readings will be taught in English.
